when I travel I like to take photos of many different aspects of the travel experience, the meals, the accommodation, the transport and in Japan I even took photos of several toilets.
This is the control panel for the toilet in my hotel room in Tokyo - pretty intimidating, even with the diagrams I was hesitant to try out the functions ....except the heated set - it is a nice touch in cold weather.
Another one I liked had a sink and tap as the lid of the cistern, flushing action meant the tap came on - you could wash your hands and the cistern would fill up for the next flush - I thought it was a great way of saving water. That one had a heated seat too - lovely in the unheated bathroom n the snowy weather.
I'm not sure what oscillated and was not game to find out
That's pretty hilarious. There's a public toilet a bit like this in Armidale, NSW, that everyone calls 'The Tardis'. You practically need an instruction book to use it.
bathroom facilities around the world are quite interesting, and really unique to different cultures...if not for the subject matter, they would really make an interesting coffee table book.
I love the remote control - used them many a time in Korea. When I move to a new house, I will definitely install this in my master bath. The heated seats are the best.
@girlie They should call it the Turdis. ;)
was gonna ask Megan about the oscillation and whether it was clockwise or anti, but chose to laugh at the Turdis instead!
