I miss Darwin's tropical sunsets. Sunset at Stokes Hill wharf.
When I got up this morning it was 1 deg C outside and 3 deg inside my house, my ducted heating is broken, it was repaired in March, but clearly not repaired well as it worked twice and stopped working again. I'm hoping the repairman will come this week.
So agina I remembering warmer times and Darwin was very hot and humid when I was there. I'm wishing I was back there right now.
Incredible sunset. Reminded me of a few landscape paintings I'd seen before and a few minutes of searching brought this one by Bierstadt. http://www.wikipaintings.org/en/albert-bierstadt/sunset-in-the-yosemite-valley-1869 There were a couple of schools of Landscape artists who sought to capture just this sort of natural light. Clears the mind of everything but being there in the moment. Stay warm, have a hot cuppa.
Megan what a wonderful sky!! It's just like something Raphael would be jealous of!
Didn't expect to ever be telling you to keep warm! You got warm socks and a nice fleece? You Know the brits will sympathise with cold :)
