On this day .....12 months ago ... I went in search of wedge tail eagles
I spotted a huge nest in a dead tree and had hopes I'd found an eagle nest. I stopped the car and wandered over to the tree, and no eagles. I did find a pair of Nankeen Kestrels (Falco cenchroides), I was still happy as I love any day I get a raptor shot.
I have not taken (m)any photos lately so have decided to look back through my photos and have an "on this day" theme, this was on this day 1 year ago.

You know,.... sometimes I see pigeons or gulls at the top of lamp-posts and it always reminds me of your shots of the little hawk's battling for prime position! =)
