i was well enough to go to work after lunch; the rashes were gone and i had an appointment to record a podcast for our liferattle.ca website (the podcast will be uploaded and available for your listening pleasure on sunday, march 18th). i had intended to go downstairs at 5 and take a photo of the people rushing towards the train station but i must admit i forgot to do that. so i go to my standby photographic model, the lake view from our office.
the clouds have cleared in the east and the sun was bright enough that taller buildings had cast their long shadows on other tall buildings. there's the 5 o'clock GO westbound train, that's the one that the people from the 'burbs take, not the subway that we cityfolks take.
Oh wow . . look how beautiful this is enlarged! Gorgeous comp, summerfield. So happy that you are feeling better. Are you doing some kind of 5 p.m. challenge now?! I have enough to do just getting one pic a day on here now. Had to do "homework" for the photo class also. What a pain . . pics to upload for that too for the instructor. I'm so ready to go to bed. Anyway love your "little white dot!" Moonstruck. :)
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i was going to do a 'michael elliott' shot of the people in the subway which was below our building, but to get there i had to fight the people for the elevators so i would have needed at least 5 minutes before 5 to get there. but i simply forgot about the time and so this was all i had to offer.
@alia_801 - how i would love to be in a plane somewhere warm right now! thank you, alia. @karenann, alia is doing the challenge, too, with her colourful babies. that's quite a challenge for you, alia, isn't it?
@meoprisan - thank you, mihaela. this view is of lake ontario (from the back) then part of the toronto islands, then a small industrial district of toronto and closer is the toronto financial district. this was taken from a corner of our offices on the 35th floor, looking east. the colour is this way because the glass panels of the building are covered with 24 karat gold filters. you can view the previous shots from the link i have listed above on my commentary.
