yeees, dunking the brush into coffee or tea comes natural... :D And lifting the empty cup and seeing an unusual colour in it (neither tea or coffee). Way to go, chica!
well, at least you didn't drink the water where you clean out the brush. (sheepishly smiling). look how organized you are. i do like: which colour? where the heck is it, it was just here a moment ago! and it goes on the whole time.
@monikozi oh yes!! @lyndamcg until I start daubing! @summerfield this is at the start, I should do one at the end another day, paint on hands, tubes and lids scattered, every brush I own used, and empty mugs everywhere!!
How fun it is to see your set up! I came close the other day to dunking my brush in my drink many times so I can empathize with you on that. I see you use two different kinds of paint. Which one do you like better?
@grammyn Katy, I use the very pale compressed powder to sketch and then the watercolour tubes I squirt on my saucer ( palette!) and try to make different shades and levels. I start tidy and it deteriorates quite quickly @dutchothotmailcom Artist?? Where??!! @marlboromaam took a few shots to get this @wakelys it's uploaded!! Alongside others' two @mittens I've not drunk rince water (yet!) @linnypinny final creation not excellent, but I'm pleased with the parts that are ok
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks Jackie. I don’t know what peel compressed powder is. What I thought I was seeing was paint in a tube and paint in the tin.
What a nice laugh I had this morning regarding dunking your brush in your tea! This is a great self portrait. I learned long ago not to drink while painting. I'd like to see your final product, where may I? Is your artsy fartsy group closed, or are you looking for more members? I need some incentive to dive (no pun intended) back into watercolor painting.
@koalagardens thank you @randystreat love a graceless or even faceless selfie @monicac thanks, this before the mess!! @theredcamera Ellen may I have your email address - pop it on an old photo of mine- I give you access details x
Lol to the tea dunking :D
Cool set up and pov for A Portrait of the Artist.
Last time I had a paintbrush in my hand I was wearing one of my Dad's old shirts as an overall and it came down below my knees :)
I would be so afraid I'd do that I'd probably not have even a bottle of water for consumption nearby, so I consider you brave! I like the story this tells- the beginning of an artistic adventure.
