A cool and grey day, but this patch of hellebores brought brightness to the day. (A question for the gardeners here: Do you also know these as 'Christmas rose"? My plant ID app says so, but...)
I think they have a number of names and maybe some depend on what hemisphere you live it. I have heard them called hellebore, Lenten Rose, Christmas Rose and winter rose. Beautiful capture of the details in the pretty blossoms.
Lovely details and a beautiful fish feeling to this. Yes, I have heard them referred to as Christmas roses. I've always assumed that in some places they bloom around Christmas time.
