Presumably to protect the unsuspecting residents of Gomshall from being gobbled up by rampaging monsters.

I think they're made from teak
There were sculptures of pigs and giraffes which were pretty amazing too, but these were the most impressive

I think someone with a great imagination and a lot of talent put these together.

Theyare on a bend in the road and have quite an impact as you come round the corner if you are not expecting them!
Particularly if you are driving past!
