Stone leaf by aecasey

Stone leaf

Sand, water, cement, and extra-large rhubarb leaves. Two little boys that loved mixing and experimenting. One afternoon of tremendous fun. Several days of anticipation, and "tada"... stone leaves. The rhubarb leaves have not grown as large since, the little boys have grown into young men, and the "how to" for this project is filed away somewhere "safe". This is the last remaining unbroken leaf.
The structural qualities of this are superb here's to back lighting : love it!

This looks like a black and white of a transparent leaf. Really neat shot and even cooler project that has lasted for years.

@luckyhusker44 oohh...I didn't see that. It does. Actually, just washed it off and set it in the sun to dry a bit. I liked the mottled effect from the damp spots. I did b&w it as I thought it brought out the details better.
