Is it a sky picture or a picture of the buttes. Yes. It is both.
Ran up to Crawford for a short visit with my parents this afternoon, and the sky was filled with a parade of cumulus clouds. By the time I got to town the clouds were beginning to gather, but there was still blue sky. I took this as I was leaving, but the closer I got to home the denser the clouds. They finally gathered for a spot of rain. Thankfully, I didn't have to drive in mud.
For anyone interested these buttes are, from left to right, Giant's Coffin, Seven Sisters, Saddle Rock, and Lover's Leap.
