A tattered and torn Red Admiral butterfly was enjoying the coneflowers while oblivious to the quiet patience of this little garden spider. The spider didn't like my intrusion, so the butterfly was in no danger. I've wanted to get a face-on spider shot, so even though she's not particularly beautiful, here she is keeping a look out with her wonderfully beady black eyes.
