Youngest's connecting flight from Denver was cancelled, so we headed south to pick her up. It's a four hour drive through mostly empty landscape. However, I made sure to stop in Ft. Morgan where this eleven arch bridge was built over the South Platte River in 1923. It is on the National Register for Historic Landmarks and the National Register for Engineering Landmarks. It is open to foot traffic, running parallel to a new bridge that crosses the river. I love the appearance of these old concrete arches.
