This is a stationary dance, with an up and down movement made from bending the knees. The dancers may shift to face a different direction, but that is a slow, subtle movement while maintaining the up and down rhythm. All these dancers carried a shawl, fan, and beaded bag.
Such a clear, sharp shot. The costumes are so beautiful and intricate. The woman looks totally engrossed in the dance. I am liking the black and white treatment of these shots as it really makes the view focus on the detail in the shot.
