Annie, my get-pushed partner, challenged me to go for simplicity in some of my images this week. I thought I would try to incorporate more negative space to try and meet her challenge. Wow! It's a great challenge, as I discovered I am not comfortable using negative space...I just want to fill it up with textures or lights or lines or anything! Here, in combination with ons9 is my first attempt. Hmmm...haven't said this for awhile, but this one looks rather interesting on black if you have the time.
@anniemc051 Annie ... here is my first attempt at incorporating simplicity into my images. As you can tell from my description, this was quite a challenge and I will try to do a few more as the week goes along.

Cool shot. I am not good at negative space either, but I do like this, works well for the ONS challenge too.

This is beautiful, April!!! I really struggle with negative space, too, its so difficult to wrap my mind around! But I love how the black negative space draws so much attention to the pattern of the shell!

Wonderful light, contrast and composition

The negative space lends a lot of dynamic tension to this image. Squint a little and it could easily be an example of avant-garde architecture!
