Wheat harvest has finally started with combines rolling across the countryside and stands of straw and chaff replacing waving fields of grain. This fox was making its way across a newly cut field this evening, stopping every now and then to see what or who might have been left behind.
How lucky are you to see a fox like this in the wild. He looks soft and fluffy which made me think he is a juvenile, but just look at his tail! superb.
