I love how easy it is to get around Portland with the transit system. Still, I've been averaging over 5 miles of walking each day, and today it was over 8. That's because today was my only day to visit some of my favorite parks and gardens, so I wandered from the Japanese Garden and the Rose Garden, all the way down to Keller Fountain, plus a walk through the Pearl District this morning in search of a duffel bag to help with the move. Thankfully it was cool, and there was plenty of time to sit for a moment to take in the particular beauty of each place. As you can see, this is a popular place for engagement and wedding photos, though I am wondering if this trail of flowers might have been a proposal. It was nearing the end of the day so we had the fountain to ourselves.
proposal, huh? That was the detail I saw and I imagined little 8 year old girls being very industrious (and slightly delinquent since the blooms must have been on a bush at some point!)
I just noticed you tagged this one for get=pushed? What was your challenge? (usually you post it in the description of the photo. It really helps the person who is choosing the finalists for the challenge. I'm just asking because I'm curious. :-) )
@tracys Ah...I did tag it but it was posted late because I was traveling so I wasn't eligible for the finalists. Mary had challenged "1) I've never been to Portland, though we have a standing invitation from an old friend who lives there. Show me something of Portland that will make me feel I've been there or make me run out and buy airfare to actually go there." So I just kept tagging so that she'd "run out and buy airfare." The posts were from the days I was in Portland, but not uploaded until I got home. I might have convinced her, though!
