You know ... "That" tree, the one in the Japanese Garden that is so oft photographed that there is usually a line of photographers waiting to get a picture. I can't visit the garden without photographing this tree, and there was no crowd gathered which gave me a nice point of view. This was from yesterday's visit. We traveled home today, but I'm not quite ready to leave the beauty of Portland's gardens behind.
Mary @mcsiegle The last image I will notify you of, though I will probably post several flowers over the next few days as I haven't had time for the camera since we got home. When you get to Portland, do be sure to visit the Japanese Garden, as well as the Chinese Garden which I did not have time to get to this visit.
@tina_mac I plan to visit sometime in 2017 after the Japanese Garden building project is completed. After that, I'm not sure. I am not much of a traveler, but hopefully I will overcome my homebody tendencies a little bit.
@tabbycat Was it The Grotto? I always wanted to go there, but eldest said you had to walk through some rough areas to get to it. He and youngest have been there during there when it's decorated with it's Christmas lights, and they both said it was very beautiful.
YES!! Rough areas?? I don't know about that. . I seem to recall catching the bus there...there are super beautiful views over the city from the chapel!
I remember being wowed by the garden in the Catholic sanctuary in Portland. Can't remember the name of it...
