One of our trips was to the west side of the park. Very different ecology over there! Much wetter, with lots of varied vegetation. Oh yes ... and moose. While I didn't get the mother or baby elk (as she was too busy chasing that young male away), I did get other mothers and babies, including moose. This mother was grazing across the stream with her young one cavorting around behind.
