harried mom

With the covid restrictions finally eased in Assisted Living my mother has been able to enjoy her back yard. We put up two window bird feeders, as well as a ground feeder, and planted several pots of flowers. The feeders have attracted over a dozen different types of birds, and even the squirrels have mastered a method of climbing the building and hopping atop the roofs of the window feeders. The activity is a constant source of entertainment, and she goes out every day to water her flowers and put food out for the birds and squirrels.

We sat in the yard for an hour or so enjoying the shade and visiting birds. This mother robin arrived with three young ones who followed her relentlessly calling for food. She was very busy!
How wonderful that your Mom was able to enjoy it with you. Such a lovely shot of the activity.

Great capture with the baby and two in the background. I hope we don't have baby robins in our yard ~ our cats are too good at catching birds.

@lynnz It's a fenced backyard that borders a walking trail and golf course. I think she gets so many birds because it's a safe space with some really nice shady trees.
