What can I say? I live in a strange neighborhood.
Just realized this is my 300th photo in my 365 album! I never marked 100 or 200, but I think I will acknowledge this milestone.
I guess I'm just "old" OR "a party-spoiler" but I don't want spooky stuff like this in MY yard. But it sure makes a wonderful photo for this week's theme.
spooky........I would love to celebrate Halloween in America, it would be so interesting. I assume this is for Halloween and not just an everyday decoration
@lynne3804bnThe spooky decorations are definitely in response to Halloween. For some reason, in the last 10-15 years Halloween has become an adult holiday and there is much more adult costuming, parties and celebrations than there are for kids (who don't trick or treat as much any more because parents don't want them going out alone for safety reasons) The world turned upside down!.
@lynne3804 to add to Allison's comment. she is right it's more of adult's festivities with parties etc. but nowadays schools have supervised parties for the children at this time. and yes parents are afraid to let the kids out late at night for safety reasons. and unfortunately I have to add that some people are awful they try to hurt the kids by putting razor slivers into apples for instance or poison the chocolates. so the amount of trick or treaters is dwingleing down to parent coming around with just the small ones and they only go to neighbors they know.. it's not easy to keep the kids safe otherwise.
Re the blossoms photo - they strong nectar smell - like honey water mixed together.
