We have stopped in South Carolina on our way to visit our son and granddaughter in Florida. South Carolina must be the fireworks capitol of the world, and since Independence Day is traditionally the day for lighting fireworks, we did a little shopping of our own. I'm not stupid enough to think bottle rockets and fire crackers are a good idea for a 5 year old, but I remember having fun with sparklers when I was a kid. Now sparklers come in colors, so that should be even more fun. I just hope I can figure out how to light them without going up in flames myself.
