It looks like a flower bed or the aftermath of a sleep-over, but it is really the outpouring of Pillow Pets from our students to young cancer patients at the Medical College of Virginia. One of these snuggly critters http://mypillowpets.com/ will be given to any child having to spend the night in the hospital over the holidays. Also shown in this picture are new picture books donated to a program in which service men and women record themselves reading the book and then give the DVD and the book to their children back at home while they are deployed overseas.
Our students learn early how fortunate they are, and how important it is to share their good fortune with others.
