My title refers to a U.S. reality show that profiles various survivalists, or "preppers," preparing for the end of civilization. The series interviews people who are preparing to survive the various circumstances through which life as we know it might come to an end, including economic collapse, societal collapse, electromagnetic pulse, terrorist acts, nuclear incidents, fuel shortages, war, pandemics, geomagnetic reversal, etc. The interviews detail the actions that the preppers have taken, and end with an expert analysis and recommendations for improvements.
What, you may ask, does that have to do with this psychedelic image? Well, there was a big sale on paper products at Target this week, and if you bought 2 packs of toilet paper( 24 rolls in a pack) you got a $5 gift card PLUS each pack was $2 off PLUS each pack had a coupon from the manufacturer for $2.50 off PLUS I used my Target charge card and got another 5% off. Bottom line: I saved $16.50 on my purchase AND HAVE ENOUGH TOILET PAPER TIL THE END OF TIME.
I used a whole bunch of effects on BeFunky because 48 rolls of white toilet paper has got to be the most boring subject ever.
So funny Allison! This post can be a marker for you to check when you next have to buy toilet paper. I'm guessing it will be well before the end of time!
Love the creative art! You sound like me with bargain shopping. Takes up practically my whole Sunday -- hunting for deals, matching coupons, etc. etc. This sounds like a great deal on the TP and it served another purpose, too ... LOL!
LOL, that is funny. I guess we can always use extra toilet paper. Do you remember back to the time when there was a toilet paper shortage? I do not remember what triggered that, but it was around the time of the gas rationing in the late 70's
Hahahahahaha! So creative! An alternate title could be "Preppers' Paper" I have not heard of that show. There are so many reality shows now! Do you watch it? It would probably just depress and scare me. Lol?,
@allie912 Yeah, me too. I finally saw a bit of American Idol two years ago...because it would come on behind me as I worked on photos on my computer, and I got interested. At least they are singing...something worthwhile. Most of them are total junk. I don't watch much TV at all. No time. I'd rather work on photos, read, or watch a movie
@allie912 The photo editor! I do like to have "enough" of certain items in my house, but since it is tiny, I can only have so much before I run out of room. And I don't think I'm patient enough with the bargain hunting to find deals like that- I just want to go into the store, get what I need and get home! But that line "I used a whole bunch of effects on BeFunky..." well, I could say the same thing about a lot of my photos- especially this month!! LOL at me!
