I didn't even bring my camera on this morning's walk, so naturally I stumbled (almost literally) upon this swallowtail butterfly laid out on the street. At first I was sure he was dead, but then he began walking around. Although I feel sure he was not long for this world, there didn't seem to be anything I could do to extend his life. I used the Hipstamatic app on my iPod Touch to record his beauty, then continued on my way.
