Guess where our kindergartners went on their first field trip? The apple orchard is in Charlottesville about an hour and 15 minutes away so it is almost an all-day affair. I was waiting for their return to capture their enthusiasm. I love the journal entries they are recording. (Best viewed large.) The apple doughnuts were for grownups, but I declined. I was too busy taking pictures.
Adorable. I was on carpool duty today so helped several of these little guys/gals get into their cars. Their tote bags were HEAVY. I think they all had 6++ BIG apples in their bags. As I helped one little girl into her car, she said to her mom, "I only have green apples. They wouldn't let us pick red ones." Haha...guess she hadn't heard of Granny Smith before :-)
@olivetreeann@luvmynynix yes the apple t-shirt is an activity they do to prepare for the trip. It also identifies them as part of the group so they won't get lost.
