With One Swing of the Bat

With the Red Sox once again struggling to generate any offense against the Detroit Tigers, David Ortiz came to the rescue. Big Papi hit a game-tying grand slam with two outs in the eighth inning of Game 2 of the ALCS to pull Boston even with Detroit, 5-5. The bases-loaded knock was just Boston's sixth hit over the first 17 innings of the series. It was also the first game-tying grand slam in postseason history to come in the eighth inning or later.
Boston went on to win 6-5 and tie the series, 1 to 1.
This little wind-up figure was a gift from our Boston daughter after the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004.
We just saw that on the news!!! My youngest loves Big Papi!!!

I didn't understand any of the sport commentary, but it's a good shot of the little figure :)

@alia_801 I realize it must sound as obscure as cricket does to me, but I did think it was a good time to trot out this little figure.

Once and a while Jeff will turn on the World Series but we are definitely not a baseball household! I don't think I even know who's in the World Series this year. Cute little guy.
