Yesterday Michael and the band of students with whom he plays came to the early service at church to share their musical gifts with our congregation.They sang and played some lovely music and ended by pulling out all the stops on a Dixieland version of "When the Saints Came Marching In." They had our generally staid Presbyterian congregation on our feet, clapping and singing. I took this picture while Michael was playing a solo positioning myself so I could include the elements of communion in the same picture. Jeff has done "The Saints" on the banjo and gotten a similar response. Great idea to include the communion elements. Sounds like a joyful noise was made by all!
