We have a teeny tiny rose bush on our patio that produces one or two flowers at the beginning of the season before some secret enemy strips it of its leaves. Every summer I am determined to catch the critter in the act, but so far, no luck. Therefore this year I am taking the more fatalistic approach of "Live and let live." As long as the rose bush ultimately bounces back, I guess I'll just appreciate my two blooms and not stew any further.
