What a busy day for someone newly retired! I returned to school to attend a welcome breakfast for the new Head of School. I won’t have the pleasure of working under her but I’m glad I had a chance to meet her and hear her speak. Then I attended a lecture at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture on the topic of Virginia Waterways and the Underground Railroad, given by a master researcher and storyteller. After the program I went across the driveway to the VMFA and had lunch with the new team of librarians who are gearing up for the new school year. It was fun being with them, but I am glad to have my own plans to think about.
Enjoy your own plans 😁
