Here's a puzzling scene--pumpkins, usually a symbol of Halloween, arrayed up and down the front steps during the first week of August. Bright and cheery though they are, why does one pumpkin have a big chunk taken out of it? A midnight snack for Big Foot? If you can explain this, I'd be interested in hearing your theory.
The orange pumpkins do add a bright spot to the steps &/or patio although it doesn't seem like it should be Fall just yet. One year we had a problem with the SQUIRRELS eating the pumpkins we put out for Autumn decorations.
It does seem a bit early for pumpkins. I bet it is the squirrels getting at this one.... they used to love eating our jack-o-lanterns when I was a kid.
