Construction Begins

The children are gone for the summer, and the earthmover has rolled in. A big construction project is underway. Periodically I'll be posting the progress of this job. Today was the first day.

@digitalrn They are hopeful that the additional labs and classrooms will be completed by January. I'm thinking, realistically, probably Spring Break.

Too bad the boys won't be there to see the big trucks (and I suppose a few of the girls too!). What are they building?

@olivetreeann Actually our summer camps will be in session so I think there will be lots of construction fans watching the progress. They are adding a 2-story wing to one of the classroom buildings with science and language labs and counsellor space. Then they are adding 2classrooms to another building. The success of our school means we need more space!

@allie912 That is fantastic. I "lost" my job as a Bible teacher in a Christian school last year due to an enrollment drop (ironic to let the Bible teacher go, but that's a long story), so I'm encouraged to see how well your school is doing. My neice teachers at a school in VA. near DC and hers is doing well also. I guess I'm just in a tough spot for jobs.
