This poster was hanging in a hallway at the school which hosted our conference. As a librarian I applaud the sentiments. What do you think?

@allie912 Then I guess, until they are 18, I think they don't have the right to read anything but have the right to read anything their parents are okay with them reading. Other than that, cool.

@kerristephens Surely you read books wIthout getting your parents' ok when you were in high school? I know I did.

Readers Have: The right to listen. (as in audiobooks).

Makes sense toi me. and the neat thing today is tghe availability of all the audi books, and those I love as I drive back and forth to work.

love it! I think that my parents let me read pretty much anything figuring that if I understood it, I was old enough and if I didn't, I wouldn't read it. but I don't know if there were as many available in our house that would be off limits, and I'm sure that they had control of what I could check out of the library until I was in high school.
