Frozen in Time

This statue was in the garden at Agecroft Hall. I'm not sure if it is a shepherd or a mythical creature so I avoided identifying it altogether. I do like the lush sun-drenched foliage behind him.

Perhaps the Pied Piper? Although my first thought was Pan but I think "he" looks a little like Mickey Rooney in Midsummer Night's Dream. Nicely done!
