A library conference is wonderful for librarians, but the rich material of the working sessions probably isn't particularly interesting to those not in the profession, so instead I will share some of the extras in my first full day of the conference.
Our group had lunch at The Sunken Gardens, a bit of old-time Florida, and after eating we were set free in the wonderfully maintained tropical gardens. It was like a scene from The Land Before Time. I expected to see a dinosaur around every corner. It was a perfect respite from technology and other modern day concerns.
