My friends, I am taking a much needed sabbatical from 365 and my regularly programmed schedule starting tomorrow for about a week. Hoping to come back reinspired, recharged and reinvigorated with lots of great shots.
I have been in love with reflections and puddle shots lately. We had some good rains recently and had lots of ops for puddle shots. I still really want one in an urban setting, but I will take what I can get for now.
I saw a marvelous puddle with all of these great trees reflected in it recently when out for a drive down a somewhat private street that I had never been on before. I stopped hoping to jump out and get a quick shot. About a hundred yards away, a resident stood there watching me, though and after waiting for a few minutes starring each other down, I went on my way, tail between my legs. This shot, far inferior to what could have been;-), I got the next day.
A friend of mine on here mentioned recently that he looks up a lot for shots. Me...I look down.
You shoulda yelled.. "Dont move or I'll shoot!!" (literally, haha) Best wishes for a relaxed time off. And I like your words.."he looks up..I look down" very poetic ;)
I love this shot as it is so clear. Reflections are amazing as is this one. Enjoy your time off. I have literally had to slow down as usual, have so much going on. The beginning of this year started out good but has by no means gone smoothly. Hope we do connect on FB. Hugs and go get inspired and if I can help with that along the way, I would be happy to. I still have to wrap up my project soon but plan to be on here after that. Hugs!
I love reflections too and this is lovely! I definitely think we can get burnt out when it comes to creativity and breaks are definitely a good thing! Hope to see you back and refreshed in a little bit! It's been a pleasure these last few weeks getting to see your wonderful photos! :). Take care!
this came out so pretty! what's wrong with shooting trees? that's too bad that the resident didn't share your enthusiasm for the photo op... enjoy your breather... will look forward to your return :)
365 teaches you to look up, down, behind you, and at things you wouldn't have looked at before. I hope you've enjoyed your sabbatical, and am looking forward to your return.
great reflection...up, down, forward, backwards, round corners, retracing steps...we get them all! good for you having a break...look forward to seeing you back soon, refreshed and full of creative energy...
Very nice capture of the reflection.
