I had high hopes for our Florida trip. We stayed 2 nights in Sarasota (a wonderful beach town and home to one of my favorite FL beaches) for the wedding. My big plans involved getting to the beach for a sunset and capturing the west coast of FL in all its glory. Sadly, our time was so booked that I didn't even get to step a toe in the sand, or even see the ocean for that matter.
I did manage to take a photo of the palm trees around the hotel pool. It was later in the afternoon and not yet sunset, but I edited the heck out of the shot to capture a glimpse of my missed opportunity. Sigh...hopefully next time!
What a beautiful shot and love your editing. Now you know how I feel as we rarely get to the beach and are minutes from it when we visit my Mom. It is so hard to do the things that you want to do sometimes. We have gone on the wrong days to put our feet in the sand. Later this year I will. Hope you get the chance to put your feet in the sand soon.
Aww super bummer you didn't get to go to the beach or ocean. But super yay for capturing this lovely palm tree and making the background my favorite color! :) :) Great processing and POV :)
Love that purple. Just think - in twenty years' time or so you'll be able to look at this photo and remember what a splendid time you had at the beach ... ;-)
I fully expect to remember the summer of 2012 as a scorcher (just like all the previous ones), and it probably won't take long for that to happen either!
@amandalomonaco Maybe we need sandboxes when the weather gets warmer to put our feet in. lol I miss walking on the beach. I am reading what was written above about being senile in 20 years. Hey, you are about that much younger than me. Not funny but funny in its own way. Did I say that right or did senility set in already.
@darsphotos Sand box sounds like a plan. I actually do have a community beach in my neighborhood with sand. Hmmm...maybe when the ice melts I can touch my toes in it. Here's to senility in 20 years;-).
@lfrans I know...such a bummer. Next time...Maybe we can go back to Sarasota as the new couple lives there! Thanks!
@archaeofrog Yes, maam, just one more reason to go back. Thanks, Katie!
@kwind Thanks, Kim. I liked how it turned out!
@soboy5 Thank you, Danny!

@seanoneill Thanks, Sean. So very processed. It was quite blah before I went all nuts with it:).
@tbats22 Thanks so much, lady! Where were you in KY again? Love the water tower in Florence that says "Florence y'all!"
@blestmom4 Yes, that sounds great, lady!!
