I was pushed to play with toys this week in a shot. Here is my first take on it. I was drawn to the cartoonishness in this shot and processed it as such.
Funny side note: My son actually is a Luke (Lucas really). I've heard people joke with him over the years saying the line "Luke, I am your father" and it honestly kinda creeps me out at the implication.
He was not super willing or into this shoot, so I am so glad that I convinced him to give me a few minutes and one came out. He's a good sport, that Luke!:)
Thanks all for your comments on this shot. I reuploaded a better edited version that removed the background junk/distraction that I had missed before (thanks for the good eyes, Kali, and the push). I tried to clone them out in pic monkey after learning that you can edit an uploaded photo without having to put up a new one. I couldn't figure out how to do it in the program, though. Can you save photos from pic monkey onto your computer? There are some great things it can do that are different from my editing program, Gimp. Anywho, thanks again and happy weekend, friends!
@kali66 Thanks, lady! So glad I fixed it, too. I hate that I miss stuff like that!
@losthorizon I FINALLY got around to my toy shot that you inspired me to do last year!!! Thanks so much for the fav and comments, man. Stay tuned...I have a creepy toy one planned for the song challenge!
@amandal I inspired you? Wow....thank you. Honored. :) The funny thing is I have no idea where our Lego Darth Vader is. Lol
Can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
Brilliant :o) Fabulous portrait and great expression. Having a very unwilling model myself you should feel mighty lucky that he stuck around. It definitely paid off xx
Thank you all so much for sharing this fun with me. I've been meaning to try "toy" shots, so it was nice to get the push and so so nice that my boy gave me a few moments of his time.
@kph129 Aw, thank you, sweet lady! I've loved your work so glad to be following each other now! Excited for my challenge, too. I will issue you one tonight hopefully!:)
@dandelionmama Thanks, Shandy. I was assigned toys for get pushed. And came up with the idea. My son gave me a few reluctant moments and in the end I was so pleased with how it came out.

@seanoneill The real one? Did he try to use his evil powers on you? Cool!
