I'll Put Your Flowers in Water, Ma!

I love a good story almost as much, if not more, than a good photo. Today, you get the story:).

I took Clara (my nearly 4 year old) and our pup Hope for a walk at a nearby park. I was holding the leash with the tugging dog, a bag o' puppy poo and had the camera bag slung over my shoulder. Clara picked me a dandelion and sweetly held it out to me.

"Oh, honey, mama's holding a lot right now. Can you carry the flower for me until we get back to the car?"

She said that she would and continued to pick me flowers all along the way, clutching them tightly in her fist. We came to a pretty pond and Clara chucked every last one of my flowers into the water. I guess she was sick of carrying them!:) I thought that they looked colorful and fun floating on the surface. Not to mention, I had to prove that they were mine as they didn't make it home to the vase.
Great title and story. In the photo, I notice the texture of the flowers and the ripples in the water.

She surely threw them there so you could get the photo. Great story. I hate carrying dog poo...

ha, maybe she didn't want you to have to watch them die.

What a lovely story. You will have to keep the photo and show her when she is grown up.

Terrific story and a lovely pic. Well done for carrying your "puppy power" poop bag rather than tying it to a fence and abandoning it like some folks do (the poop - not the puppy!)

Very sweet story to accompany the lovely image. There is something melancholy about the photo and I like that.

I like the stillness in this version. Without your story there is something very melancholy about this!

What a sweet little story and shot to accompany it! I like the bits of yellow against the gray water in this!

Lovely capture! Maybe she just thought they needed to go in the water sooner rather than later... :)

@taffy Thanks, Miss Taffy!

@fueast I hate it, too. I should have thrown that in the lake;-). Thanks, lady! I was so annoyed that their were no garbage cans around the park.
