Fallen, discarded, stained, wet, shivering in the breeze, curled up, dying.
Yet absolutely gorgeous and caught my eye lying there all red and pretty like. I had to crouch down on the wet road for a photo. There is just something about the red ones that I love.
Today is actually a beautiful day (this was from my wet walk yesterday) and I feel cheerier. I slept a bit better last night which always helps. Instead of my awful 4 am wake up that has become the norm, I slept in until 5:30. That's progress and I will take it happily.

You got a really good one here...I like it. Fav. (For me the scarlet leaf has some life yet curling up resisting the road where the other leaf has succumbed. That factor plus the color color contrast in composition makes this a fav for me.)

Thank you all so much for your support and sweet comments. You have really helped to bouy my spirits this week. It's been sunny for days and I'm smiling again. I can get through this. Can't wait to feel settled again, but in the meantime trying to enjoy the ride.
