Here's the thing...firstly, I am weak...I love taking photos and 365 too much! And secondly, I just saw this shot possibility and we will be moving from the lake in a week and I had to get it while I still could, right? Plus I have to walk the dog, and what does it hurt to carry along the tripod and camera and take a few quick shots? Am I justifying myself?
It's December already. I am 91% done with my project. Maybe, just maybe I can continue posting when I feel like it and have the time and perhaps there is still a slight chance I can finish in time. And if not, well that is a-ok.
Please forgive my lack of responses and comments for a bit. Life is really nutty right now. So looking forward to leveling out.
You will be happy to know that now that it is December and Thanksgiving is over, I am happy to hear and sing along to Christmas carols. But still the thought of shopping is so far from my mind. Here's to procrastination.
Haha! Love that you are here. This is an awesome shot.fav for the image and your speedy return.Glad I didn't get you that expensive going away present....
its the most wonderful time of the year .... sorry ... thats the song that came to mind as soon as I saw and raed this ... that lighted tree and reflection is fab ... hope you find the balance you seek ... always a struggle doing the things you love and the things you gotta do .. :-)
Let me be the first to declare that you shall not comment on my photos. It's forbidden. 365 is supposed to be fun. Fun will balance it all ; forget about commenting for awhile! And just post your shots! :)
Wow!! so beautiful! your words made me panic and laugh at the same time! I really want to keep seeing your shots! (panic part) and I know how you feel (laughing part :)). Anyways, hope everything starts to feel normal again. !
That is fabulous! Well worth dragging the tripod along behind the doggie! Now, to make sure he's tied up and not dragging you away while trying to capture this festive, gorgeous shot! I love it! Gives you a real feeling of the season!
Such lovely light and reflection. So glad you haven't given up totally!!! Love it Porltand (Oregon) when the boats go up and down the Columbia with Christmas lights. So beautiful. FAv
this is a lovely shot... i think you should stop overthinking the 365 thing... if it feels right, take the shot and post it... if you have a few minutes and are surfing 365 and land on something you like, leave a comment... just don't force it, y'know?
Awesome!! I know you'll be able to post and complete. Just let commenting go, enjoy the photo side and know that everyone is going to be much busier than normal so commenting is going to drop off anyway. This one is brilliant! Fav!
@northy Thanks for your wise words. I do tend to overthink stuff. Hey, I've been playing with my ISO lately thanks to you and I am digging the results!! Thanks! This time a few weeks ago, I'd have shot this at 400. 100 was pretty nice!
@eyesmile Thanks, Gena. It's funny how defeated I can feel like on days, but then better a day or two later. We'll see. It did feel great to shoot and post today. We'll see what I can do.
Secretly I'm happy you are still here, that finish line is soooo close and to have come this far and not go over it with us.....well, no pressure, but one quick snap a day, keep the commenting to a limit, and you might just manage it? Super shot btw, keep them coming!
Yay!!! come on - keep going - you can do it - we all can!! i'm going to just post snails/chicken til 2014 :o) lovely shot of your lake - this proves there is strength in weakness
Gorgeous shot and definitely worth the fail in 365 break..cold turkey quitting is hard! I am so far behind this month as its been so hectic and have hardly picked the camera up to take photos for myself. I'm totally spamming all my followers right now trying to catch up with a variety of fillers, but I can't stand the gaps! We have it bad!
@aleksandra This year was not so good in the improvement department. Hubby almost had to stage an intervention. I guess some days are better than others, but... Next year, if there is a next year, will be different. Thanks, friend!!
hahah so glad you failed lol! dont worry about commenting just keep posting when you can and have fun! fabulous capture as always! i love the reflection and purple tones!
@roseolivia True words. Somedays I feel defeated, other days I feel like I can do this thing. We'll see. I just want the freedom to post or not. There will be days soon where I will have no office set up or internet access. Thanks, friend!
Just a gorgeous shot. Fav. As far as posting/participation, @northy said it better than I could have so I'll just say point to her and say "What she said" :-)
@dreamatrix Aw, thanks, Paul. I screwed with the crop for soooo long. I was over it. I did like the light on the water/ice and didn't want to lose too much of it. I may have tried square? Appreciate the fav!
@seanoneill HA!! Thanks! Someone said so glad that I didn't get you that expensive going away gift. That cracked me up!:) I'll be intermittent, but will keep posting while I can. I got out and took tons of shots today. Last few days living so near to the lake so I want to get my lake shots in.
@skipt07 Of course. Thanks, Skip. On the way home I saw a lovely manger. I should have taken a photo of that, too. There is a living nativity in town that I'd love to take the family to. I appreciate you!
Love the reflection. Such lovely colours! Ha ha, you are the only person on here who thinks they fail if they post photos! Just do what you can and what feels good. I honestly don't know how you manage to fit it all in!
Btw I am all for procrastination when it comes to Christmas.
LOL - Amanda.... I thought you were meant to be having a break!!!! So glad you were not gone for too long! Keep on snapping and finish with us all! Don't stress about the commenting! Wonderfully Christmassy shot btw! : )
Just catching up with your pics. This one is really lovely, seasonal, festive. I like the purple tones in this. Good luck with the packing and moving...I've done that several times and it's never easy...just annoying and hectic. Post when you can. The community here wants you to be around but also knows you've got to take care of business too and respect the balance you need right now. You give a lot to the community and, in turn, the community will continue to support you whenever you can post or comment! :)
@taffy You are so sweet. Thanks so much, Taffy!!
@adamj Really appreciate the kind fav, Adam!!
@eyesmile Thanks, Gena. It's funny how defeated I can feel like on days, but then better a day or two later. We'll see. It did feel great to shoot and post today. We'll see what I can do.
Please ignore last comment ;)
