Yesterday, we went to the Cincinnati Art Museum for a fun spring break activity.
It was amazing to see paintings by Monet, VanGough, Piccaso, Mattisse, and even the Campbell's soup can by Andy Warhol. Loved sharing it with my kids, too, who were mostly very interested until they got tired.
Here I adored the amazingly huge and lit windows and caught Lucas pondering life while looking out of them. I'm sure he was actually thinking something like, "I wonder if she heard me toot?" or something equally 9 year old boy deep like that?
This is fantastic, those tones are perfect as well the composition. There´s something about the big windows and those branches that is so mesmerizing, fav
Wonderful capture of Lucas and those fabulous windows and the view. It's so great to take the kids to art museums and see what they are attracted to, without the pre-influenced minds of knowing who are already famous. FAV
@anazad511 Aw, thanks, kind lady. Would you mind repushing the star. I couldn't figure out the fav thing at first with the new changes. It's not the nice big button anymore:). Thanks, Ana. I thought of you there as I remember some of your museum shots.
@seanoneill I wish it were. I really should get out more. Thanks, Sean. I have done window shots with the kids. All three now actually, but this one is more dramatic I think. Remember the sweet one with Clara and her bunny looking out at the snow? Thanks, friend, for the kind words and fav!
@paul2782 Oh no, not hormones yet!!! Yikes. Not ready for that. Thank you, Paul. I always so appreciate your wonderful comments and takes on things (minus the hormones bit;-). Seriously appreciate the fav!
Love the processing of this! I have a shot that's similar of my husband and son http://365project.org/smellychelli/365/2013-04-15
(this is one of the few that I have actually printed up and framed.)
I love the quiet reflection that your boy is showing here. Sweet moment.
This is such an amazing shot though! (Funny you mention that, as I recently had to outlaw the word "toot" among my third graders, as its constant usage was driving me crazy!)
I love this photo so much. Wonderful composition. Wonderful light. The contemplations of a nine year old made me laugh so much. Priceless. A fav, no question. Well done.
@archaeofrog Hilarious that you had to outlaw toot. I'm constantly asking my son to avoid potty humor. You are right in the thick of it with your class, I bet. Boys. Oy! And so many never grow out of that!
