On flitting around this weekend, I got to visit with this pretty butterfly. It was the first one that I encountered at the butterfly exhibit and my very favorite, perhaps because it is the only kind I can identify. Maybe it's that I love it's stained glass looking wings.
I'm exhausted as I start the new week, but feel refreshed remembering this pretty flutterby. A sign a spring and simpler things.

@katiebrenkert It was waay better than our time last year. Last year I went on day care field trip day and it was crazy! Kinda spendy, though. $26 for our family. Sheesh. We need to get out SOON. So pretty out. Photos of fam this weekend? When is best?

@darylo I could not get over how gorgeous the set up was in there and how perfect that this was on the pretty flowers and posing for me. I hung out with it for a bit and took lots of shots to get the right one. Thank you so much!
@cimes1 I so rarely make PP these days. I had a crazy January and was getting 50+ faves on shots and then petered out. That was what it was taking for PP for me, but then randomly I made it up last week with just 19. Less than shots around it, but it made it? I didn't even know it until days later and saw the label. The monkeys are weird. Supposedly there is a formula, but I don't buy it. Thanks so much, though. I was really pleased with this one. I spent some time with the butterfly and took lots of shots to get the perfect one. glad he cooperated.:)
I wanted to thank you all so much for your lovely comments and faves. This butterfly was so special to me and I spent quite awhile photographing it and it posed so wonderfully for me that day. I love it when everything just comes together in a shot...so often that is not the case for me (especially with moving stuff), but somehow this worked. @adamj It helped that it was in an enclosed building. I spent awhile with it and got tons of shots. Outside they are darn near impossible to find and photo. thanks, I was pleased with this one!
