Proud Mama Mallard

I can so relate to her. Love the puffed out chest and adoring look in her eyes. Gosh, I want a duckling of my very own. Think she would mind?;-)

This was taken yesterday when I went for a run at my old lake. I really miss being so close to it as I was before and it was awesome to see it in the springtime and full of life. I saw ducklings, goslings and even my old pal, the heron....oh and a bunny, too!

Ricardo the rabid raccoon and I thank you for all of your marvelous comments and faves on his portrait yesterday. No worries, the children and I were inside and I took the shot from behind glass. No chance of bites. We will not try to hold him and pet him and name him George. Thanks for your great comments and concern.
