I wanted a simple photo of my 3 kids. Easy, right? Not on your life. Lucas would not stop making dorky faces. I got frustrated. That's why he is so serious here. Just one good photo people, come on!
I think little ones can be the hardest to capture! (much movement and face making) This is adorable! And I love the pensive look from Lucas. Well captured!
My cousin published a shot of all the cousins and they were in a different state of agitation--I mean downright just ugly. I would frame that over anything adorable--it was perfection. This one is adorable, yet I bet the silly face ones are awesome too. :)
Oh yes, I totally understand. My eldest is the same as he likes to pull a face. I usually take 20 and get 1! Last year for Christmas all I wanted was a photo of the 5 of us. Someone took it for me and although they took 4 shots my 2 sons managed to ruin each one!
@bill_fe I'll try to hook up my backup drive to get it. thanks for the solution idea. It's about time I tried to see what I have. Been annoying having so many photos not easily accessible.
@amandal I've been using Lightroom for a couple of years now (I need to actually learn all its capabilities). I have LR put my files on a 2TB external hard drive. I then wrote a batch file to copy those files to another internal 2TB HD, and a scheduled task that runs the batch file at night
how is it that the two girls are a copy of you and the boy looks exactly like mike? awesome portrait of the kids, you are getting better-er :-) everyday!
@bill_fe I'd like to use Lightroom eventually. Sounds helpful and great all around. I'm a sewer tart again...vicki you are up!!! @summerfield
And thanks, Vicki for your great comments. Love that Clara is my little mini...and Em and her brother are a mix. Sometimes I see flashes of me in them, but mostly Mike's side. I see Mike's sis in Em. Lucas really is a mini daddy.
@bill_fe@amandal - there are no sewers like your sewers around here, you natchos. the only one i know has everything gucky coming out of it and i ain't going near that darn thing. and sometimes there are sewer people sleeping near it. what would happen, if i know my luck, i get soaked in whatever those gucky smelling things and my camera stolen.
okay! okay, i'm going to look for a decent one. gheez! why are all my dear friends crazy? hmmm... that tells me about something, doesn't it? :-D
i may have to take the amtrak to go wherever the two of you are. dagnabits! oooh! that's a thought!
@summerfield Come on over, I'll show you a sewer good time. It's gorgeous now, too. Didn't end up auditioning for the show. I didn't want an old hag character. Not a spring chicken to get the daughters parts anymore:(. I would have auditioned, but the nights didn't work for me either. Next time. Yeah, be safe and keep your eyes out...and visit:).
@bill_fe - yeah, then if i'm caught i'd be jailed for vandalism. i'm too pretty and delicate for prison, amigo. wile e. cayote my rump! :-P
@amandal - you should still have auditioned. even just to see what they say. even for an old hag character. and you'll be surprised, a lot of those stage actors that play young roles they're all wrinkled up more than i am! it's how you play the role and how your face takes up those thick make up! :-) i'll look for my sewer on the weekend.
I really like this, Amanda. Why would they all agree to it for you. I have stories of Christmas photos, one son and he has been difficult over years as he did not want his photo taken. A boy/guy thing or age, have not a clue but when he asks you someday you can tell him why he is not smiling. FAV
