Night Terrors

Remember the days of not wanting to get out of bed at night for fear of the monsters under there that would grab your ankles? Now I fear the monster next to me;-). Nah, he's good, but sometimes he sounds like a monster when he snores:).

This is for Mad Hatters Phobia week. Check out my other version here: @madhatters And share your phobia shots by tagging: madhatters-phobia

Happy new week!!! Oh and thank you for all of your wonderful comments and faves on my autumn shots...especially that last one. You all are awesome!
:)

@agima Funny?! This is terrifying. Scary;-). Ok, funny. I can't be dark.
October 13th, 2014
Scary. And yes, I remember feeling that way as a child.
October 13th, 2014
@soboy5 Wasn't it awful...feeling that way?!
October 13th, 2014
Yeah go dark.
October 13th, 2014
Well, the good news is that it is currently 6:30 am and I'm up with the bed made The bad news is that I will eventually have to go to bed tonight! LOL - this is a fabulous fav for me. And just what is that under the bed???
October 13th, 2014
@linnypinny My wolf mask stuffed with a shirt. I was going to do this with others, maybe son in bed and me under reaching out, but it was just me so I made it work. Thanks!!!
October 13th, 2014
You are so good at these! I would freak myself out trying to do that on my own! Love the light, is it all just coming from your torch?
October 13th, 2014
I agree with @bella_ss , you are so good at these!
October 13th, 2014
@bella_ss Yes, I even edited the main bit of light out...it was aimed at the carpet and not the mask. Thank you. I was ok with these, but less so with the girl in the mirror from a few weeks back. I have no fear of the dark, but I guess the mirror ghost still freaks me out a bit.
October 13th, 2014
great job
October 13th, 2014
LOL - your grimace is priceless and who doesn't remember the days when monsters lived under your bed. hahahaha - I was a pretty skinny kid and used to lay flat on my back with the covers over my face and try not to breath so the monster would not know I was there.
October 13th, 2014
You woke all those memories up from childhood. Your dramatization abilities are fantastic. Fabulous composition and capture.
October 13th, 2014
Awesome shot
October 13th, 2014
Awesome Amanda. Even on black I couldn't tell it was the wolf mask, but I figured it was. then read the comments and tags (always read the tags)
You are fantastic at these. I'm planning on doing one after work this evening.
October 13th, 2014
@amandal Oh, yeah. I checked this morning, I can't fit under my bed, so I'm going to use a different scenario from my original plan.
October 13th, 2014
@bill_fe My mask is scarier than yours. I was gonna get under my bed, too, or have someone down there, but just did the shot when I was alone so made it work. Thanks. Did you see the screaming banshee shot? Freaky yes?
October 13th, 2014
Brilliant - am now regretting my purchase of a bed on legs!
October 13th, 2014
Yep, I remember! Very creative!
October 13th, 2014
Hahaha I love this!!!
October 13th, 2014
Amazing imagination and set up, fav.
October 13th, 2014
Fav -- you captured the feeling perfectly! It reminds me of the illustrator Chris Von Alsburgh's work. I think I just murdered the spelling of his name!
October 13th, 2014
Yikes! It was a goblin under mine - trying to steal my money. Except at age 5 I didn't actually have any....
October 13th, 2014
I can definitely feel the fear! Brilliant
October 13th, 2014
I feel it!I used to feel it! Creepy!fav

October 13th, 2014
Ha ha this is great....
October 13th, 2014
OMG....haven't we all had THAT nighmare? My older sis used to tell me there were monsters under the bed so that I wouldn't get up in the night. I belived her!! Well done!
October 14th, 2014
Did you ever read Monster Bed where the monsters are afraid there's a human under their bed? Love that book! Great theatrics here! I may have to check under my bed!!! Fav!!!
October 14th, 2014
I still don't like standing next to the bed in the dark!
October 14th, 2014

October 14th, 2014
you are a very creative person!
October 14th, 2014
Ha ha another great but slightly mad shot! For me it was snakes rather than monsters!
October 14th, 2014
I am blessed with the ability to sleep standing up of late! Great shot, a real story in a photo.
October 14th, 2014
That why I sleep my head and my feet under the sheet.....always !
October 14th, 2014
Great setup! My four year old is going through a monster-fear phase, so this resonates!
October 15th, 2014
Not surprising, probably saw that spooky woman 8-)
October 15th, 2014
Love this shot and what you wrote, Amanda. I am still afraid of the dark. Could not walk down our back stairs outside at night when I was living at home. That carried on into my adult life. I still get scared. Brings back memories of how bad it was. Better today but still there. You are so kind hearted. Love seeing and hearing about you in writing and in your photos. FAV
