Remember the days of not wanting to get out of bed at night for fear of the monsters under there that would grab your ankles? Now I fear the monster next to me;-). Nah, he's good, but sometimes he sounds like a monster when he snores:).
This is for Mad Hatters Phobia week. Check out my other version here: @madhatters And share your phobia shots by tagging: madhatters-phobia
Happy new week!!! Oh and thank you for all of your wonderful comments and faves on my autumn shots...especially that last one. You all are awesome!
Well, the good news is that it is currently 6:30 am and I'm up with the bed made The bad news is that I will eventually have to go to bed tonight! LOL - this is a fabulous fav for me. And just what is that under the bed???
@linnypinny My wolf mask stuffed with a shirt. I was going to do this with others, maybe son in bed and me under reaching out, but it was just me so I made it work. Thanks!!!
@bella_ss Yes, I even edited the main bit of light out...it was aimed at the carpet and not the mask. Thank you. I was ok with these, but less so with the girl in the mirror from a few weeks back. I have no fear of the dark, but I guess the mirror ghost still freaks me out a bit.
LOL - your grimace is priceless and who doesn't remember the days when monsters lived under your bed. hahahaha - I was a pretty skinny kid and used to lay flat on my back with the covers over my face and try not to breath so the monster would not know I was there.
Awesome Amanda. Even on black I couldn't tell it was the wolf mask, but I figured it was. then read the comments and tags (always read the tags)
You are fantastic at these. I'm planning on doing one after work this evening.
@bill_fe My mask is scarier than yours. I was gonna get under my bed, too, or have someone down there, but just did the shot when I was alone so made it work. Thanks. Did you see the screaming banshee shot? Freaky yes?
Fav -- you captured the feeling perfectly! It reminds me of the illustrator Chris Von Alsburgh's work. I think I just murdered the spelling of his name!
OMG....haven't we all had THAT nighmare? My older sis used to tell me there were monsters under the bed so that I wouldn't get up in the night. I belived her!! Well done!
Did you ever read Monster Bed where the monsters are afraid there's a human under their bed? Love that book! Great theatrics here! I may have to check under my bed!!! Fav!!!
Love this shot and what you wrote, Amanda. I am still afraid of the dark. Could not walk down our back stairs outside at night when I was living at home. That carried on into my adult life. I still get scared. Brings back memories of how bad it was. Better today but still there. You are so kind hearted. Love seeing and hearing about you in writing and in your photos. FAV
