I've attempted to capture this shot a few times. It's in a really difficult place to capture on a two lane bridge that is fairly trafficked with little to no shoulder.
Once I stood on the passenger seat of my van and hung out the window and got a shot before a car came up behind us and a few times I've gone by foot on the bridge thinking it will take just a second and that I am invincible. And each time I've done it, I think..."This is stupid, what am I doing?" as I flatten myself against the bridge, think skinny thoughts, and try not to get hit. For a photo. Idiot.
Why can't they put in a flippin' sidewalk or something?
Til they do, this is my last photo of these amazing bridge circles at least from this foolish pov. I had yet to capture them with my smaller lens...last year I could only get two of the circles in and made them bridge spectacles.
Be safe out there, friends. Photos are not worth dying for. Causes and people yes, but not a pretty picture.
I love this - very cool reflections. I also love the rather muddy tones - even the sky is a bit gray. I think it represents the darker side of Autumn, which we will be moving into very soon. Fav.
Gorgeous bridge and I can see the lure to tempt fate. But good advice, it's just not worth it....although in this case maybe it is. No....no it's not worth it. :)
Love your commentary and I agree! I've done similar things and then think… "my kid needs a mom!" :) Nevertheless… great photo! I can see why you have been relentless to try it :)
Love your comments! I can never take my husband with me, he lets me know how unsafe and what an idiot I am sometimes!
Great photo and your processing.... fabulous composition and reflections... fav
@cdonohoue YES, I will. Last time with this shot. I was at Sharon Woods yesterday looking for your bridge pov. Took a bunch, but you did better:). Thanks!
I sometimes have the inclination to walk back along a bridge or highway for a photo then don't. There is always another photo somewhere. However this one is special and well taken! fav
kinda strange. i'm following you but your posts don't seem to appear in my home feed. same with bill.
this is an awesome shot, excellent pov, beautiful colours and the reflection. no one gets to see this stuff all the time and it's available to you, albeit no sidewalk to properly capture. you take great photos, kid. you're going to be big someday soon.
@summerfield I post really early in the morning, maybe that 's the issue? I really love and appreciate where I am living and all of the beauty that I can see. I wish I was in a city sometimes, or had an ocean or could travel the world, but for now, I am very blessed with what I've got and where I am. Really appreciate your kind words, my friend. Hope that I don't just stay a hobbyist and get out there sometime.
@birdy Thanks, that is why I love it so and keep returning.
Great photo and your processing.... fabulous composition and reflections... fav
But maybe you should take your own advice?
