Just in need of some sunshine today after an exceptionally bleak week. The weather predicted it to be sunny today...nope, still gray and yucky.
This is a throwback from my dreamy summer vacation in June. This sailboat is on Lake Erie in Buffalo, NY where we visited some great friends.
Ah, vacation bliss. Tonight starts my whole family's 2 week Christmas vacation...we will be home, but off of school and work. While it is great, the lack of time to myself and lack of peace is a bit hard, too.
Still have to Christmas shop, still have to ready the house for my MIL's visit, still have to bake (should it work out), still taking care of a sick little kiddo (fed her like a baby today as she is too unwell to sit up and feed herself).
So much to do, but I just want to sit and relax in the sunshine. To bask in the golden warmth. Sigh.
Very pretty scene! When I was a child, I thought Christmas was magical. I can see that belief in the faces of children today. When I became a mom, I realized Christmas wasn't magic, it was mothers. Think about your busy week as creating magic memories.
@cejaanderson Thank you! It's true:). Loved loved the magic as a child and really love to make it special for my kids. One of my favorite things to do is drink a glass of wine and eggnog, listen to carols and wrap the gifts on Christmas eve with Michael. And then I can't sleep because I am so excited to bless them in the morning.
