Red Rendezvous Redux by alophoto

Red Rendezvous Redux

I love the dramatic long shadows that I make while lurking in my crimson coat (seriously my best $20 ever spent).

This was take back when I had normal hair, hair that didn't puff out all over the place and stick out or go straight up in the morning. I miss that hair.

This is how a drama queen spends a Saturday night. I did a few selfies after Mike and I did our shots together way back when in December.

It was two years since I did my original Red Rendezvous and it was time to go back for another pov, take and time. I so love the lake at night! http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-03-03

And this time, it was not quite so bitter cold and I had a remote timer which helped immensely.

Definitely best on black.
This image has a noirish appeal to it that I find quite attractive. FAV

Sam
Hope your hair is starting to grow back!

@gigiflower Starting to grow back and straight up in the air. So big! Hope it learns to calm down. Ugh.

@linnypinny I really played with making it like a painting in my edit. Thank you!!

@soboy5 Really appreciate that, Danny. It's the shadows and darkness, I think...and that pop of color.:)

I am reading so much symbolism into this. I think you are a person who seeks out the light and what is beautiful when times are dark. I think you cast a long shadow of influence in all you do.

@cejaanderson Oh, love that...you may have nailed it! Thank you!

March 24th, 2015
@lesip Not the Christmas ones. This was a shot from back in Dec. It is lit year round, though with lights on inside it.
March 24th, 2015
@amandal how's everything going ? Have you figured out work and home?
March 24th, 2015
@lesip Barely. I'm exhausted today. I don't know why it is so hard. Maybe that it's not just normal work and home, but sickness and lice and snow days. Hope it levels out soon. Today was a calmer day at work. Events are stressful to put on and we do 50 a year give or take.

It's so great to see your Gazebo again!! Wonderful image.
March 25th, 2015
Beautiful photo so well captured with the lighting. Looks like the perfect spot to chill out and enjoy the natural surroundings. I also like how you caught the shadows, too.
March 25th, 2015
Great shot! Love it as much as the original! It looks like they added on to the gazebo with some decking. What a cool little spot!

@amandal To tell the truth Amanda I had to get my science dictionary out because I remembered that a Redux reaction involved two chemicals in which one was oxidised and the other reduced. Naturally I wondered how that might apply to any encounter associated with your photo! But apparently those are called redox reactions!
