I was out walking recently...and a little bug caught my eye. It was it's color that did it and I had to get a shot of it on the green green grass. And he waved Hello, pretty lady. How are you today?
Is it a ladybug? Similar coloring and spots, different shape.

I think it's a milkweed bug. They look like a lightning bug but are marked like a lady bug. We had them in IL in the fall. My kids loved to catch them.
He looks if he climbs any higher, his weight (not that he's fat) will topple that stem right over and he'll be back where he started from...unless he flew there! Love the color against the green and how he stands out!! Awesome photo! FAV!
