@newbank Did you watch the show? It was american with Melissa Gilbert as Laura. I LOVED LOVED LOVED It....best show ever. It was on for more than 10 years I think. A few years back, Little House the Musical came to town and starred Melissa Gilbert as Ma. I had to see it. But then it was weird seeing her as the Ma and not as Laura. Her accent was all wrong, she did not sound like herself. It was strange. I found our books thrift...mostly for free. Hope you can get your hands on some. Did you like Anne of Green Gables, too?
You already know what I thought the very second I viewed this one - another wonderful "what a story this would make" capture! A fav for me and I'm going to meditate on it's peacefulness all day at work!
@amandal YES YES YES oh yes. I have the films. I know them WORD perfect. I still cry when Ann gets told she cant be friends with Diana but then she saves her sister and all is well and oh its soooooooooooooo wonderful. Yes saw some of the TV series buts its the books I remember.
@linnypinny It reminded me of the 7 Dwarves as well. I imagined hearing them singing Heigh Ho and coming home as I snapped this photo. Love story shots! Thank you!
This has a lovely fairytale vibe to it! I loved the Little House On the Prairie books too. I still have mine. Sadly, I got them from my mom too late, my daughter was old enough that they just were not interesting to her. Maybe a granddaughter someday will have story time with grandma! Lol
You're all getting so excited! I must have missed something, both as child and parent! So… I know nothing about fairy tales, but somehow 'fairy tale' is what I thought when I first saw this!
@yrhenwr I love me some fairy tales. Little House on the Prairie was a book series and tv show about pioneer life in America in the 1800s. A little girl was the main character and so many little girls wanted to be just like her. Anne of Green Gables was another much loved girlie series about a young orphan girl. She was spunky and we all loved her!
I still at times watch that show. I can remember laying on the rug so excited to watch it. Anne of Green Gables was also a mini series.. Have you seen it ? It was wonderful
I can't imagine a more perfect log cabin picture to give your chosen title to. I loved the Little House series — read it myself as a child and then read them to my boys in their youth. Still have the old beat-up books, and can't help but smile when I pass them on the shelf.
@lesip I would watch Anne on PBS specials. Don't know if I saw the mini series, but the full movies. I would snuggle with my mama and watch Little House.
