I had this idea just today and felt like pulling off a quick kiddism. I do seem to remember trying to cut my own hair when I was a kid. I think I was in the garage with my little dull school scissors sawing away at my bangs. I think I took a big, funny chunk out of them. But I could be remembering wrong.
Anyone else screw up their hair when they were a kid? My mom messed up my hair up badly, too, but I was older and that, my friends, is a whole nutha story.
Today was boring and needed some more fun, so there you go...
Fantastic -- like @nadaa I want to cry out -- STOP!!!! But it seems a rite of passage. Mine is so curly (and was then) that it was hard to mess up -- or make look presentable!
Had a fun day with Meg today!
@amandal OMG!!! IAmanda.. I seriously did do this yesterday.... cut 3 inches off my hair all the way around... When the coworker came back from lunch she looked at me and said.. Did you go get your hair cut. when I told her I did it myself she said turn around. and informed me I got it straight all the way around.. LOL..
Wonderful kiddism....and, I think we are all guilty of doing that at one point or another, and I am not going to say when it was the last time I chopped off a few inches off my hair because it was getting scraggly, and I could not get in to see my hairdresser!! Love the fact that you are sitting on your legs, and you look about the height of a kid....and, the facial expression, of course! Nice details!
I am loving your facial expression. I am not surprised you cut your hair when you were younger, you are a take charge kind of girl. I remember cutting my brother's ;)
LOL, i remember being in 7th grade and my best friends decided to cut 5 inches off one side of my hair. I had to get a '"Pixie" hair cut to get it even. Ugh
ahh! Brilliant one. I love it so much. I was at a child's birthday party a couple of years ago where the 7 year old birthday girl had that morning attempted to give herself a fancy new haircut. o my thinking about it the photos must be hilarious.
Love it!! Great tongue... because kids always stick their tongue out when they are concentrating. My daughter took a chunk out of her hair, but luckily not in an obvious place. She came to me with a handful of hair and tried to tell me it was her dolls hair. I didn't fall for it. Funnily enough it was just after we had read a Clementine book where one of the characters had cut her own hair..!!
Ha ha - another great selfie from Amanda complete with tongue! I never did cut my own hair, but I did cut my doll Julie's hair and was gutted when I realised it wouldn't grow back and that I'd ruined her for ever!
Fun !
I have to confess I cut the eyelashes of my younger sister when I was a little girl because I was jealous....bad...I still remember my mum shouting at me....I'm still feeling uncomfortable with what I've done...
@tonydebont life is so much more fun when you are a little crazy:). Man, I LOVED my cruise this summer. I can see why you all do it so much. Oh to retire and see the world...:).
You pull these kiddisms off perfectly, right down to the concentration in the tongue! @jamibann I did the very same thing - gave my doll-baby a haircut and then was crushed when I realized it was a permanent disaster. I still cut my own bangs and mess them up, so I've not completely 'grown-up'. I think my tongue still sticks out when I'm doing it too. Ha!
Too FuNnY !!!! I used to always cut my bangs in-between haircuts. When I went to get my haircut they always knew. LOL Now haircuttery only charges 5 dollars to cut your bangs so I do that and don't get that funny confused look when I go to get my haircut. Your hair is growing back out after that last unmentionable haircut you got.
Haha, so recognisable, Sep my 3 year old tried it a couple of weeks back on his own hair and he also cut of a couple of curls from my nearly 2 year girl :-)
